We offer riding camps all summer long. Here is a summary of the details:
- Sessions run weekly, Monday through Friday, and you can choose the morning session (9 a.m. to noon) or the afternoon session (1 p.m. to 4 p.m.)
- The cost of each 15 hour session is $385 including taxes. Payment may be made by post-dated cheque, VISA or Interac.
- Participants must be 8 years of age or older.
- Camps combine horsemanship (working around the horse), theory, and riding time with an emphasis on safety and fun.
- Please ensure that students are appropriately outfitted with riding breeches, riding boots and a certified ASTM riding helmet. Alternatively, students may wear leggings, slim fitting boots with a proper heel (not a wedge) and may borrow one of our helmets for each lesson.
- Adults can come to camp, too! If you are interested in getting fit and having fun with horses, and learning more about the equestrian world, contact us for more information about adult camp options. We run sessions on selected weekday evenings during the summer.
If you would like to book a camp, please download and fill out the 2011 Camp Registration Form and follow the instructions to reserve your spot. Alternatively, you can email for more details.

We offer camps in several different levels of ability. The first rider booked into each session will designate the level of that particular riding camp.
INTRODUCTORY - Perfect for the total beginner who has not had lessons previously. Grooming, handling and tacking (saddling) skills are taught. Students will be expected to prepare their horses for each riding lesson. Daily riding lessons cover mounting, basic positioning and control at the walk and trot.
ADVANCED BEGINNER - For the student who has had the Introductory camp or previous lessons, can tack up, and has good control over the horse at the walk and trot. Riding lessons will continue to concentrate on the basics of good riding position, basic aids, and improved control at the walk and trot, in preparation for canter.
NOVICE - Riders are confident and ready to canter.
ADVANCED NOVICE - Riders are cantering, have practised a two point position and work over poles and cavaletti.
INTERMEDIATE - Riders are proficient in basic gaits, working on two track movements, tactful aids and continued gymnastics over jumps.
REFUND POLICY
If you must cancel a booked summer riding camp, we will make every attempt to re-book with another rider. If we are successful, you will receive a refund of $300. If we cannot find another rider to fill that space, an account will be opened and the cost will be credited towards lessons in our fall schedule.
